Bobby Shmurda released from prison

(Page Six) – Bobby Shmurda is a free man again.
The 26-year-old rapper was released from Clinton Correctional Facility in New York at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to TMZ.
Shmurda had been in custody since his 2014 arrest on conspiracy and weapons possession charges.
In 2016, the “Hot Boy” rapper took a plea deal of seven years, and the judge credited him for the two years he’d already served.
Shmurda’s prison release date was reportedly bumped up to Tuesday — 10 months early — due to good behavior and his participation in prison programs.
On Monday, Shmurda’s Instagram account posted a music video featuring clips from the 1990 crime thriller, “Kings of New York,” seemingly signaling a comeback. “How the f—c y’all forget about me,” the caption read.
Shmurda’s mother, Leslie Pollard, previously told TMZ that her son planned to return to music again after his prison release. She also shared that he was looking forward to an “intimate dinner” with family.
Shmurda is on parole until February of 2026.
