(Syracuse) – The federal Bureau of Prisons has advanced Sean “Diddy” Combs’ projected release date by more than three weeks to Feb. 6, 2028, according to prison records per TMZ. The music mogul’s walk-out date had been set for March 2, 2028, as recently as last month.
The projection marks the latest in a series of fluctuating release dates for Combs, with previous estimates including Jan. 21, Feb. 5 and Feb. 20. The updated timeline coincides with his recent transfer to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania.
Combs was relocated to the Pennsylvania facility after a troubled period at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. During his time at Fort Dix, authorities placed him in solitary confinement for allegedly violating prison rules by using contraband cellphones and engaging in fights. Reports also surfaced that he received preferential treatment at the New Jersey facility, including allegedly paying fellow inmates to cook meals, complete chores and provide massages.
The 50-month sentence stems from a 2025 trial where a jury convicted Combs on two counts of the Mann Act for transporting people across state lines for prostitution. The jury acquitted him of more serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking.
Combs is serving his sentence in the general population at Allenwood. The Bureau of Prisons notes that release dates remain subject to change based on institutional records.
