Queen Naija connects with Lil Durk on “Lie To Me” visual

(Revolt) – Next month, Queen Naija will release her debut album missunderstood, which is preceded by the singles “Pack Lite” and “Butterflies Pt. 2.” This past weekend, the Detroit star reveals another track titled “Lie To Me,” which features assistance from Chicago’s Lil Durk. Produced by Alex Niceforo, OAK, and Keith Sorrells, the track takes from DeBarge’s heavily-sampled classic “A Dream” and sees the two artists harmonizing about a more than toxic relationship:

missunderstood will follow Queen Naija’s 2018 self-titled EP, which saw 5 cuts and the breakout hits “Medicine,” “Karma,” and “Butterflies.” Following that, she kept her fans fed with the loose cuts “War Cry,” “Away From You,” and “Good Morning Text.” She also contributed to the Black Lives Matter protest soundtrack, joining fellow Motor city artist Tee Grizzley and The Detroit Youth Choir on the socially and politically charged cut “Mr. Officer.”

In addition to June’s Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 (Deluxe), Lil Durk’s been increasing his profile with notable assists on J.I.’s “Painless 2,” BIA’s “Same Hands,” and Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” — the last of which has since topped charts all over the globe, including landing at the number two spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Canadian Hot 100.
